Rivendell Festival Info 2026
Our updated info and rules for 2026
Essential Information for Rivendell Festival 2026 With Rivendell Festival 2026 just around the corner, organisers are asking festival-goers to read through the key arrival information, site rules and safety guidance before making their way to the festival. Gates will open at 12pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday, with last entry at 8pm on both days. Anyone arriving after this time should call the phone number displayed at the gate so a member of the team can come and meet them. The festival site is located behind the BP Garage, Rivendell, Stainburn Road, Workington, CA14 1SZ. Visitors should use the right-hand gate on arrival, where stewards will be available to direct traffic and answer questions. Organisers have also asked attendees not to wait on or block the BP garage forecourt before the gates open. The forecourt is private land and the garage has explicitly asked that festival traffic does not block access. Tickets may be available on the gate, subject to availability. Gate prices are £35 for Friday, £45 for Saturday and £75 for the full weekend. Cash is preferred on the gate, and visitors are asked to bring the correct change where possible. Card payments will be available, but signal on site can be intermittent. Anyone with a Skiddle ticket should download their ticket or take a screenshot of their QR code before arriving, as mobile signal can be patchy and this will help keep the queue moving. Camping is first come, first served and cannot be reserved. Festival-goers are asked to be considerate and only take the space they need. Campervans and caravans are welcome, but drivers should follow steward instructions on arrival. Cars must not be driven to tents or camping areas. Visitors should park in the designated car parks and carry their equipment to the campsite. Parking is limited, so car sharing is strongly encouraged where possible. No open fires or fire pits are permitted on site. Small, raised BBQs are allowed, but must be used responsibly and kept well away from tents, trees and dry grass. BBQs and gas stoves must not be used inside tents. Attendees are also asked to familiarise themselves with campsite fire points when they arrive. There are several drinking water points around the site. Anyone unsure where to find them should ask a steward or a member of the bar team. The Kids Area will be open on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times and cannot be left unattended. Visitors are advised to bring cash for the bars, as card machines may be affected by intermittent signal. The nearest cash machine is at the BP garage, although fees may apply. Food and drink will be available throughout the weekend, with Rin Tin Thai, a burger van and Drowsy Goose Coffee all on site. The festival bar will be fully stocked with lager, ale, cider, spirits and soft drinks. Organisers are asking visitors to support the bar, as money spent there helps keep the festival running. Attendees are also reminded not to bring their own drink into the music areas. No outside alcohol is permitted inside the licensed music areas, including The Glade, The Shack, The Marquee and The Army Tent. Challenge 25 will be in operation, so anyone who looks under 25 should bring valid photo ID. Underage drinking will not be tolerated, and the festival has a strict no-drugs policy. Anyone found in possession of illegal drugs will be removed from the site. Dogs are welcome at Rivendell Festival, but they must remain on a lead at all times. Dogs are not permitted inside The Glade, The Shack, The Marquee or The Army Tent. These areas can be loud and busy, particularly the Army Tent, and organisers want to avoid causing unnecessary stress to dogs. Attendees are also asked to clean up after their dogs at all times. Rivendell is a take-your-rubbish-home festival. Visitors should bring bin bags and leave their pitch as they found it. No glass is permitted anywhere on site. Personal music systems and speakers are not permitted anywhere on the festival site. Organisers are asking everyone to respect fellow campers and keep the site friendly and peaceful outside of the main music areas. Duty managers and security will be on site 24 hours a day throughout the festival. For first aid or security issues, visitors should go to the Green Site Office next to the Tipis. If the office door is closed, phone numbers will be displayed at that location. Rivendell Festival is an independent, community-run event made possible by volunteers, organisers, performers, traders and everyone who buys a ticket. Festival-goers are asked to look after each other, respect the land, respect the festival’s neighbours and help keep the weekend safe, friendly and welcoming for everyone.
